INTERNATIONAL MAN (AUS) (R Mullen) stumbled on jumping. RAWALBANDIE (USA) (R Ffrench) was slow to begin. INTERNATIONAL MAN (AUS) lay inwards in running and near the 400m shifted inwards and momentarily crowded RAWALBANDIE (USA). Jockey C Avery was questioned regarding his use of the whip on DREADLOCK (ARG). Jockey C Avery explained that the horse had always had a history of laying inwards and as such had used his whip in an effort to help the horse to the line. Whilst accepting his explanation, the Stewards issued a warning to Jockey Avery for using his whip on his mount when out of contention.
